A few things to know before your appointment
Tie-Dy Spaces wants every project to be comfortable, respectful, and straightforward. These policies help set clear expectations before we get started.
What does Tie-Dy Spaces help with?
Tie-Dy Spaces provides home organizing, decluttering, and reset services for individual rooms, problem areas, and small apartments.
Services may include sorting belongings, putting items away, decluttering assistance, closet and cabinet organization, pantry organization, unpacking, workspace organization, room resets, and light tidying directly related to the organizing project.
Is Tie-Dy Spaces a cleaning service?
Tie-Dy Spaces is primarily an organizing and reset service, not a traditional house-cleaning service.
Light cleaning associated with organizing may be completed as part of a project, but services do not include standalone deep cleaning, intensive bathroom or toilet cleaning, window washing, intensive appliance or floor cleaning, or similar cleaning-only projects.
Do I have to get rid of my belongings?
No. You make the final decisions about your belongings.
During decluttering, items can be separated into categories such as Keep, Donate, Trash, or Needs Decision. Nothing will be discarded, donated, sold, or removed without your permission.
Do I need to buy organizing products?
Not necessarily. Whenever possible, we can work with the storage and organization options you already have.
Basic consumable supplies such as trash bags, gloves, and simple labels may be used as needed.
Storage bins, baskets, shelving, drawer organizers, hangers, furniture, and specialty organizing products are not included in the session price. Any additional products must be purchased by the client or discussed and approved separately.
What happens before my first appointment?
New clients begin with a brief video consultation.
We’ll meet, look at the space together, discuss what you would like accomplished, and determine which session is appropriate for the project.
Photos may also be requested when helpful for assessing the space.
When is my appointment confirmed?
Your appointment is confirmed after the consultation, an appointment time has been agreed upon, and the $20 booking deposit has been received.
The deposit is applied toward your service total and is not an additional charge.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Tie-Dy Spaces accepts:
Cash • Cash App • Zelle • Apple Pay
Booking deposits should be paid electronically. The remaining balance may be paid using an accepted payment method at the end of the appointment.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling.
With at least 24 hours' notice, your $20 deposit may be transferred to a new appointment or refunded.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice and no-shows result in forfeiture of the booking deposit. A new $20 deposit is required to reserve another appointment.
If Tie-Dy Spaces needs to cancel your appointment, you may choose to receive a full refund of your deposit or transfer it to a new appointment.
What if the project takes longer than expected?
Additional time may be available at $20 per hour, subject to scheduling availability and your approval.
Appointments normally end no later than 6:00 PM.
Because your session reserves a specific block of appointment time, the session price remains the same if the project is completed before the maximum allotted time.
Can children or pets be present?
Yes. Homes with children and pets are welcome.
Pets may need to be safely secured away from the immediate work area when necessary.
Young children should be supervised by another responsible adult and remain outside the immediate work area when reasonably possible.
Tie-Dy Spaces does not provide childcare or pet supervision during appointments.
Are there projects Tie-Dy Spaces cannot accept?
For safety reasons, Tie-Dy Spaces does not provide specialized hazardous cleanup or remediation.
Service cannot be provided in areas involving active bedbug, flea, or roach infestations; human or animal waste; blood or exposed bodily fluids; used needles; significant visible mold; hazardous chemicals or materials; unsafe structural conditions; or situations requiring professional hoarding remediation.
If conditions at the property are substantially different from what was disclosed during the consultation or create an unsafe working environment, Tie-Dy Spaces may decline to begin or may stop the appointment.
What is expected during an appointment?
The agreed-upon work area should be accessible at the scheduled start time. Significant delays in accessing the property or work area may reduce the amount of working time available during the session.
For projects involving decluttering, the client should be available to make decisions about their belongings.
Tie-Dy Spaces is committed to providing a comfortable, respectful, and safe experience for both clients and service providers. Harassment, threats, intimidation, sexual misconduct, aggressive behavior, or interference with the service provider's ability to safely leave the property may result in the appointment ending immediately.
Will you take pictures of my home?
Photos may be requested to help assess or document an organizing project. Assessment photos are kept separate from permission to use photographs publicly.
Before-and-after photographs will not be used for advertising, social media, or portfolio purposes without your separate permission.
Declining permission for public photo use does not affect your ability to receive service.
Where does Tie-Dy Spaces provide service?
Tie-Dy Spaces currently serves Burlington County, New Jersey.
Projects outside the normal service area may be declined or may require an agreed-upon travel charg
